Ahead of the release of his second EP Fallen Tree, Dubrunner steps back into the fold with his new single ‘Shangdao’s Revenge’. Coming correct on his Menace label, he continues to shape out a vital, modernist slant on the soundsystem tradition.

‘Shangdao’s Revenge’ is a monolithic, moody half-stepper electrified with dub techno chord shimmers and elastic breakbeats, and spaced out with deep wells of atmospheric processing.

Operating from a firm foundation of steppas, dub and digi, once again Dubrunner folds broader club influences into his constructions to create a versatile sound that naturally ports the distinctive flavour of Jamaican music into other dancefloor contexts.
