Jonny Scott is the drummer for the popular Scottish band Chvrches. Jonny started out playing professionally on the Glasgow indie scene with momentum quickly building in his career towards joining British-American indie rock band The Kills. In 2013 Jonny played drums on Chvrches’ first album The Bones of What You Believe, featuring on the tracks “​Gun” and "Night Sky.” Jonny ​has been drumming live for Chvrches since March of 2018 and has been pretty much on the road with them ever since appearing at some of the world’s biggest venues and festivals. Chvrches (pronounced "churches") are a Scottish synth-pop band from Glasgow, formed in September 2011.​ ​The band consists of Lauren Mayberry, Iain Cook and Martin Doherty. ​​Mostly deriving from the synth-pop genre, Chvrches also incorporate indietronica, indie pop, and electronic dance into their sound. What is really impressive about Jonny’s addition to being the live drummer of the band is that he plays most of the programed drum parts all live on one of his two lovely touring Ludwig drum sets along with a set of four vintage Simmons electronic drum pads to his left.
