Purpose by Design is so excited to introduce Lisa Yvette Jones - a woman of the Lord, a John Maxwell certified coach and speaker, as well as best-selling author. She has worked for the government for 3 decades now, and has a passion for leadership - which started when she was the second eldest of seven total kids.
Lisa is a cancer-overcomer, and speaks on how faith was crucial to get through it. She talks about how she had peace without understanding as she was told she needed to schedule a surgery for an extremely vicious rare surgery. She had a tough time, and no matter what the doctors said - she trusted God for the outcome. It was a supernatural peace.
She told her doctor that she was not going to have the surgery until June 29, and until then she wanted her doctor to speak words of faith with her. She talks about her battle with cancer and how she defeated it, and how chemotherapy was a struggle but her doctor worked with her. She talked about how she wouldn’t give in to her pain, and give in to what the Devil was trying to do to her psyche.
Lisa talks about an encounter in a salon where she had some women who would seem like angels who spoke encouragement to her and spoke life into her.
She talks about getting certified with John Maxwell, and getting in Les Brown’s course. God put her in all these positions in life that she had never imagined, like speaking on stage with Les at a summit. She went through the Power-Voice, joined Les on stage, then continued with Jon Talarico’s class on a positive mentality. She speaks on being in the anthology ‘Women of the Power Voice’ where she shares her amazing testimony.
Lastly, Lisa speaks on releasing over 200 pounds and keeping the weight off, and choosing a different diet than what she was used to. She offers for anyone to reach out for a complementary meeting for any leaders out there who are struggling.
