The lesson on the piano is rather good. The way Malcolm Washington directed his first major film was excellent. Although the entire ensemble is excellent, I think Samuel L. Jackson is the most notable. The film makes excellent use of visual effects and stunning cinematography. There are some amusing parts, some character-tense parts, and some quite frightening parts throughout the film. The plot is a little difficult to follow at several points because of the occasionally unclear explanation. Additionally, the tempo is a bit strange.
