A native of Macon, Georgia, Janel is a rising senior at the University of South Carolina, majoring in global studies. She is the host of the Aspiring Abolitionist Podcast which focuses on politics and policies on both the local and national level.
In this episode, we discuss how Janel got into politics at a young age, pivotal moments that shaped her interests, starting a podcast, the importance of local elections,  the role of media in politics, being a black woman in America and much more!
