Listen "DTW: Iowa Postgame Show Road"
Episode Synopsis
On Sunday, IU lost for the first time since early January in a relatively meaningless contest against an elite Iowa team on the road 86-85. It took a buzzer beater from the all-world Caitlyn Clark to give the Hawkeyes the win in what was a thrilling contest where the Hoosiers battled up hill most of the afternoon. With the defeat, Indiana is still the outright Big Ten champ at 16-2 and the top seed in Big Ten tourney and likely a one-seed in NCAA tournament at 26-2 overall. This was arguably the toughest matchup IU will face the rest of the way outside of a potential national championship showdown with South Carolina. While the Hoosiers will face squads of Iowa's caliber in a potential conference tourney championship, as well as the Elite Eight and Final Four, those will be on neutral sites making the difficulty level this afternoon harder.
