October 9th, 1987 audiences everywhere were treated to the greatest love story ever told. Westley and Buttercup's love is one for the ages and will go down as all timer, but let's not forget all the wonderful people who helped along the way. Inigo Montoya, Fezzik the Giant, Vizzini, Prince Humperdink, Count Rugen, Valerie, and Miracle Max. Each character played perfectly by the respective actor.
This movie set off to satirize all romance fantasies that had come before it. But in doing so, it might have become the most beloved romance fantasy of all time.
