Joel and Winnie Napenas began their real estate investing journey in 2020 after coming across the SRMD blog and deciding to take our ZTF course. While they both had their dream jobs, they realized they were not enough to get them to where they wanted to be financially. They decided to take action to further educate themselves as real estate investors. They started putting offers in while they were doing the ZTF course! Joel and Winnie began their journey with a portfolio of small multifamily properties in the Tampa Bay area. Based out of North Carolina, they are prime examples of successfully investing out of state. Winnie was also able to achieve REPS status along the way, which sheltered their income. Focusing on their why and viewing any bumps in the road as learning opportunities has been a key to their success. They have had an amazing journey so far and look forward to further building their real estate portfolio to include syndications and short-term rentals.
