There are times in life when the unexpected happens and family becomes a priority over work. My sweet Dad was recently diagnosed with brain cancer and after a long, courageous battle, spent a week on hospice and peacefully passed. This was not something I could plan, but as soon as he entered hospice, I knew I needed to spend every waking moment with him until he passed. Work had to wait. I hadn't planned on being off and definitely not for 14 days, but I am so glad I did.   Guess what happened? We landed a big client. Our email marketing still went out. Our social media still had daily content, our clients were still billed on the correct day, our meetings ran without a hitch and our clients' needs were met. Why?
