Episode Synopsis
01-18-2025 / DJ Natural Nate® 8 hour Electro Set with www.saveoursounds.net Records
It’s a cold and snowy day and I finally got my studio up to par after a few years. Yes, a few years. Long story. I have been collecting records that I have not used or even played due to many circumstances. I always feel guilty touching these priceless pieces of art and music. I do just about all of my Electro Breaks collecting through https://www.saveoursounds.net and some through Toniks lab and you can find some of these records there if they are not already out of print. I have always been a very avid record collect and buy new records to this day. Having so many records that I have not even played or put into a recorded mix is like being a kid on Christmas. I never put a play list up due to the fact, all of my sets are never preplanned and I usually make mega mixes on the fly. I enjoy not knowing what’s going to happen with the music and mixing as if I'm a listener in the crowd listening to this for the first time. I have always loved to hear two records play and sing together. I will always think it’s the neatest thing on this earth. I rarely put out mixes because they are never perfect, especially just playing on the fly with music I barely know. I think that’s why I have stayed in the industry so long. To hear these priceless records mixing together for the first time live in front of friends and crowds at booked shows. I just cannot get enough of the magic that happens naturally and never forced with so many amazing producers productions.
This will be me just finally going over some music on actual record. Again, I have been collecting these for a while and thought I would do a video and audio test live with you. This is defiantly not you average music and is refusing to hear something completely different than what is commercially being out out. I have always looked for the underground sound and gems that nobody has heard before. That is another passion of mine. Finding music nobody thinks exists. Because I have not heard most of this in a live mix, I will be doing A and B sides just to get the feel of the records. This will be more for listening pleasure than an actual show so bear with me. I really hope you enjoy this as much as Im going to enjoy it. It’s been a long time coming. www.the-lost-art.com is still up and we are thinking about finally doing more weekly or even a monthly show in the future. It’s taken a while to get everything back in order. I have been happy to see the studio get back up to par. I recently bought a pair of Technics SL-1210GR2 Direct-drive Turntable System II and honestly, these have not even been broken in yet. So hopefully we can break the new tables in together. I really appreciate all of the support over the years and it fells good to finally test a lot of new things out, including the music. If you are wanting to know a song, I will be gladly here to find the record and track for you. Please be sure to support your local record shops.
