Even though Tom Styn was Western New York baseball's high school player of the year he knew his chances of playing division 1 were slim, due to his height. But Tom defied the odds and went on to accomplish his dream of playing D1 baseball, though it wasn't a smooth ride. What I hope you get from Tom's story is that success isn't a linear progression. But if we are willing to humble ourselves, assess our situation honestly and draw on the things which made us successful in the past, we can turn 2 steps back into 1 giant leap forward.
