Quite Simply, you cannot give away what you do not have,


Some are not truly Saved and Born Again. They do not have the Holy Spirit pulling them to obey God's Word.
Some do not know the Word of God. They have not experienced a life transforming work that God's Word can do in your life.
Some do not truly believe the Word of God.  To them, it is the radical opinion, and not a living reality.
They do not practice doing the Word of God, so they do not see the value it can bring to your life.  Therefore they do not see the value of passing the importance of God's Word on to other people.
Some preachers have their own agenda.  They are more interested in controlling people, then they are in making sure that their people walk in true freedom.  So they keep their people ignorant of the Scriptures, in order to more easily control them.
