We are hardwired to long for an intimate relationship with God.Deep inside each of us is a longing to know and love God, but somewhere along the way, we have acquired false beliefs about intimacy with Him: -that it is the key to blessing, when it is the blessing in itself -that it is a prize to be won, when it is grace bestowed -that it is optional, incidental, or supplemental, when it is fundamental -that it is experienced the same way by everyone, when God reveals Himself uniquely to each individual.Pastor Paula reminded everyone that intimacy with God is knowing that we can always come to Him as we are, and finding ourselves unconditionally loved.Jesus is not after what we can do or achieve for Him. He is after us. A gentle God that He is, He does not force Himself on is, but invites us to be in a loving relationship with Him.
