Episode Synopsis "Breaking Down the Monkees 1967 - Ep 005"
1967 will always be remembered as a year rich with unparalleled musical and artistic expression. It was also the year the Monkees' broke from their record producer and discovered their musical autonomy and freedom. This ultimately led to the writing and recording of two of their finest works, which have been largely lost in the musical shuffle of the 60's. Andrew and Josh sat down to review the Monkees recorded works in 1967 and give them the attention they deserve. Open the door into summer and take a listen. Oh, and after that, be sure to email us your questions, comments (or threats) regarding this episode to [email protected]!
