Read verses 1-3. What sort of impact do you think this would have had on these Jewish disciples, seeing Jesus in His glory with Moses and Elijah?2. Read verses 4-8. Compare and contrast these verses with Jesus’ baptism in Matthew 3:13-17. In both passages, the voice of God is heard saying that Jesus is His beloved Son. How might the same words of God have a different impact on the disciples from the baptism to the transfiguration? Are there any Biblical truths that have greater meaning in your life as you mature as a Christian?3. Read verses 9-13. As they came down the mountain, the disciples must have been incredibly excited to share their experience, but Jesus told them not to.
