Listen "Lindsy Marshall"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Creative Guts, co-hosts Laura Harper Lake and Sarah Wrightsman talk with artist Lindsy Marshall. Lindsy’s work explores glass as a medium and her sculptures, memoriam vials, and jewelry relate to her personal connection to nature. Perhaps, in part, because she’s a pyro, Lindsy fell in love with the medium of glass blowing! Her work aims to strike a balance between man-made and natural, incorporating dried flowers, leaves, bugs, and bones into her work!In this episode, we cover the gamut from imposter syndrome, to the art of photographing art, pricing, social media, dealing with rejection, and more. Lindsy shares with us the science and art of glass blowing, how her work has evolved, and how her inspiration fluctuates over time. Check out Lindsy’s work and keep tabs on her show “Deglassification” with the Brookline Art Center online at www.lindsymarshallart.com and www.instagram.com/lindsymarshallglass.
