Listen "Jeff Whittum"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of Creative Guts, co-hosts Laura Harper Lake and Sarah Wrightsman sit down with Jeff Whittum, a salvaged metal artist based in East Kingston, NH. His sculptures include materials like cutlery, clockwork, bike chains, metal from antiques, tools, and many more unique items, and his subject matter includes birds, animals and human figures.Jeff has always had a creative eye, but recently found his love of sculpting only five years ago! And in that time his work has been featured on NH Chronicle twice, sold many of his sculptures in the region, and been hired for an array of custom installations. In this interview we dive into the various materials Jeff uses to create his pieces, the hazards that come with welding metal, and the physical mechanics of how some of his pieces stand.
