Episode Synopsis
39: When I started my Spiritual Healing practice 10 years ago, I blamed God for trying to make my life so difficult when all I wanted was to help people.
And I couldn't understand why He was making my life so difficult!
He wasn't. I was in such a victim state.
Eventually I realised that no one was coming to save me and I can't help anyone but myself at that point in time.
Now I know that God is waiting for me. It was me that was in my own way.
Many times, we want others to change and the world to change so that we don't have to change.
Change is hard. It's not easy but yet it's the only thing we can do to improve our lives.
If we keep waiting, then we'll always have to depend on the external circumstances to be right before we can be happy.
I hate rules and some laws are just simply ridiculous.
If you're like me, have you ever wondered why do we need laws to govern us?
Well we don't when we each take personal responsibility for ourselves and our surrounding.
You don't need a rocket scientist to tell you why you shouldn't drink and drive. You also need a degree to tell you why you shouldn't drive like a mad person on the over speed limit on the road.
We don't need the government to tell us why we need to pay income tax to help the lower income when we all do our part to lift each other up.
Doing charity and being charitable is another topic that I'll cover another day but we need to teach people how to fish and not just give people the fish.
Otherwise we create a community of needy people who just wait for people to donate.
It definitely makes us feel good but we're actually robbing people of the chance to discover their own potential.
I truly feel that we can only change the world by our actions and not just talk.
We need more conscious role models to rise up, take charge and lead.
Stop waiting for permission or people to appoint you.
You're already the chosen one so it's time to step up.
