Hey savvy leaders! It’s episode 62 today! All about my favorite way to build connection for you and your direct sales team. If the events of the world have you feeling like you want to re-group and build connection again… If you’re looking for a new way to remind your team you care about them as people first and team members second…If you feel like a pause, a release, or a reset would benefit you. It most certainly will benefit the gals on your team. Today I’m sharing my favorite, impactful idea on how to do this. You can find the full transcript of this episode at crazybigdreams.biz/62.This is just one idea. There are lots of different ways to do this. And maybe this is something you’ve done before. Maybe it’s time to do it again. Maybe you’ve never done this and it will be a fun new adventure for you and your team. My favorite way to build connection is through physical activity, especially yoga. Hear me out. You don’t need a message on all the physical, mental, and emotional benefits of yoga. Instead, I am here to share how this activity can build connection for you and your team. Really most physical activities will, and I’ll give you other examples in a minute. This connection-building doesn’t have to be yoga. But I am a bit biased about yoga as the option here for very good reasons not just because I practice yoga myself and also teach it, but because of the gifts it gives in unity, connection, and lessons on and off the mat.Yes, I am guiding you toward gathering in person with those that are geographically close. And I realize not everyone is. That’s ok. These benefits happen to occur when you’re together in the same space. The impact is not the same if you’re gathering virtually as you might imagine. If there are groups of team members in other geographic areas, encourage them to get together the same day the rest of you are. Although there are other activities, other than yoga that you can do together, and we’ll talk about those in just a minute, yoga is my favorite way for you to build connection with your team. Let me tell you why. One Yoga means union. It’s an activity of connecting to yourself and to others. Each person practices as an individual but also as a collective group, coming together by simply breathing the same air and uniting together in the same poses, even when those poses may be modified. It’s like this, you feel unity and connection when a few or even a group of people make a collective sigh of relief all at the same time together. Or take a deep breath together. Right? This is a small, small example of how yoga can unite individuals. TwoThe lessons learned on the mat carry directly into life off the mat.Is the room too hot, do you feel tired, is your mind wandering everywhere, do you want to quit, run out of the room because you’re uncomfortable and it’s easier to just stop or is class moving too fast and you want to slow down because you simply need rest. Are you listening to your body on the mat and off the mat? Are you directing discomfort and lack of perseverance to others or external factors? Or are you recognizing what you can influence in a deep connection with yourself? We all bump up against life and business situations that are difficult or feel close to impossible. We may tell ourselves to quit or give up. For much more on building connection with your team get the full transcript at crazybigdreams.biz/62.
