Listen "Catherine Davis - Big Abortion historic and ongoing exploitation of Black Pastors"
Episode Synopsis
Catherine Davis of The Restoration Project joins us to expose the impact of abortion on the black community. She begins by providing the historical context of Planned Parenthood's Negro Project, launched in 1939. This initiative hinged on black pastors promoting birth control and then abortion to counter poverty and racial inequality. The objective of eliminating black lives continues today. A PP spokesperson said so openly in 2020.Davis notes the case of US Senator Rev. Raphael Warnock of Georgia, who received thousands of dollars from PP to declare himself a pro-choice pastor. He represents only of of dozens of Democrat candidates receiving $45M from Planned Parenthood in the 2020 election cycle. She also discusses the black middle class and the myth that all blacks are poor and disadvantaged, saying, "All of us are not broke and disgusted!"Davis also sounds an alarm on abortion's aftermath among black women. From breast cancer, to premature birth rates to the psychological crises of mental illness and suicide, abortion represents not healthcare, but multiple public health crises. The good news includes many churches working to stem the tide. In 2019 The Church of God in Christ passed a resolution that they are a pro-life denomination. They are forming pregnancy centers, helping with medical expenses, and more. She shares her action plan for turning the wounded into warriors in the church, including church leaders. From her bio: Catherine Davis is the Founder and President of The Restoration Project.
