Susan Hanson, PhD, is a Distinguished University Professor Emerita of the Graduate School of Geography at Clark University. As an urban geographer and a pioneer for women in the field, she has been the president of the American Association of Geographers and editor of four geographic journals as well as the International Encyclopedia of Behavioral and Social Sciences. She now serves on numerous advisory boards for the National Research Council. Hosted by Mike DeVivo.
