Part of the way we do this is to tap into knowledge from Australia's premier research institutions. Today, we hear about some new research that has the potential to change the way public health programs are planned in Australia and our region. Kristy Crooks is an Aboriginal woman of the Euahlayi nation. She's working as an Aboriginal Program Manager with the communicable disease team at Hunter New England Health. She's also undertaking a PhD on how to engage First Nations people in public health emergencies. Peter Massey is a Clinical Nurse Consultant and program manager for health protection. Also with Hunter New England Health.
