This episode focuses on the early part of Jefferson’s life, which played a role in his becoming a powerhouse in our founding. Suzette also discusses the paradox of Jefferson’s anti-slavery stance, as he owned over 600 slaves throughout his life. Jefferson, like many Founding Fathers, had the wisdom to know fighting slavery would have prevented the founding of this experiment called America.
