This story is one of the most memorable in all of the Old Testament. It is a story of the abuse of power and the repercussions when we mistreat others.This morning, we are talking about how sometimes our heroes, and those in power take advantage of their authority and abuse others. The story of David and Bathsheba is one that can be hard to hear, especially if the hearer is a woman who has been sexually assaulted. As we read through this story and hear it again from Bathsheba's perspective, I hope that we will come to a greater understanding on how the actions we take impacts others.
