Do you serve other people? Did you ever stop to consider why you serve others? Is it because you think that it’s the right thing to do? Is it because you know the Bible told you to serve others? Is it because you are trying to earn your way into Heaven? Or does your service flow from the overflow of your love relationship with God? Pastor Mark says, today, motive matters. God wants US, not our service! Service without a loving relationship with Jesus is simply dead works that lead to death. All the work that we do in our own strength will burn up like wood, hay, and stubble. Jesus wants to lavish His love on us, and for us to lavish our love on Him.
