Here in the beginning of section 68 the Lord tells Orson Hyde that he is ordained "to proclaim the everlasting gospel." It is sometimes easy to read a scripture like that and disconnect and not see how it relates to us. However, each of us as members of the church, by way of our covenant relationship with our Heavenly Father has the same responsibility given to us! We may not have hands placed on our heads to set us apart as a missionary, but our responsibility is just as real.
