The Gospel of Mark is unlike any other. Both the earliest and shortest of the Gospels, Mark provides us with a quick-paced, to-the-point narrative of Jesus’ earthly ministry. Using the testimony of Peter as his guide, Mark wastes no time telling his Roman audience that the good news of Jesus Christ is life-changing and world-altering. With a sense of urgency, Mark emphasizes both Jesus’ actions and the people’s reactions, leaving us all to immediately decide: Do I believe Jesus is the promised Messiah he claimed to be? In the first part of this series, we will follow Christ’s early days around Galilee and begin to answer the question of “Who is Jesus?”
