In this episode, I speak to Sakoyisa Makata an Olympian and rugby sevens player for the South Africa national team. Sako grew up in East London but moved to the western cape to pursue his dream of playing professional rugby for the Springboks Sevens after completing his schooling. We speak about the sacrifices of moving away from family and how this has allowed him to discover his own voice.
Sako shares what it was like going to the Olympics and how he consciously narrowed his focus to those against who he was competing. Sako shares his biggest discoveries and lessons from the Olympics, and how he is using it to fuel him today.
