Michael Lind is a historian, author, and scholar specializing in U.S. political and economic history, democratic nationalism, and foreign policy. His notable books include The Next American Nation, Land of Promise, and The New Class War. A fifth-generation Texan, Lind has taught at Harvard, Johns Hopkins, and the University of Texas, where he is now a Professor of Practice at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. He contributes to publications like Tablet and American Affairs and is the author of fiction and poetry, including the award-winning The Alamo and Bluebonnet Girl.Support the show
