Calls are being made for CCTV cameras in Shannon Town Park to be switched on.
While the cameras are in place, they cannot be activated until Part 5 of the Digital Recording Devices Act 2023 is commenced.
That requires the Garda Commissioner to submit a code of practice to the Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan.
