This week, my guest is hand weaver and textile designer Mathieu Le Traon. Mathieu discovered hand weaving only a few years ago, but he quickly fell in love with it, and decided to quit his prestigious career to pursue his artistry full-time. Mathieu’s work is extraordinary, not only because it’s beautiful, which it unequivocably is, but because he uses it as a means of storytelling, embedding codes, music, language and literature into his work. Each piece is one-of-a-kind, hand woven from the animal fibers that he loves, which add another important, thoughtful element to his work.
