This week we get to peer into a peculiar encounter with Jesus. A gentile woman is in dire need of help and healing for her child and Jesus's response is very different from what we are used to seeing. To the naked eye, this story may seem elitist and maybe even a little racist, but in reality, we get to look into what limitless faith can do in the eyes of one who believes in the healing power of Jesus Christ, the Messiah and Son of David. God's power extends beyond any boundary that we can come up with and this is a story of just that.
