The Fourth of July is a time to remember those who worked diligently on penning the Declaration of Independence and subsequently laid the foundation for the liberty and freedoms we have today. In our Christian faith, we have those that gave their wealth, health, and - at times - their lives to provide a foundation for our eternal freedom.

We need to be the light of Christ to a world that is fearful and losing hope. We need to come together now and make a "declaration of dependence,” not a “declaration of independence.” Christ is the only hope for anyone and for any country! We must do whatever we can to bless America and others with the love of Christ!

On this Fourth of July weekend, join me on Sunday as we lift up our eyes and praise God for the greatness and the blessings of living in America.
