Listen "20. The Future Doesn't Exist - Austin Dunbar"
Episode Synopsis
Please join me in welcoming Mr. Austin Dunbar! We start by reminiscing about our day spent on Cape Cod, as it is our only actual memory together. Although Austin and I have barely met, we quickly learn you don’t need to know a person well to be open and honest with them. We are in a constant back and forth from the start, as we put into words (for the first time!) some of our most vulnerable and challenging thoughts.
We laugh about the truth behind having an overactive imagination – although over-thinking can feel like hard work, it never actually yields any tangible results. We discover how much we overvalue the expectations we create for ourselves, and how much we undervalue the importance of self-care. We seem to touch on every major issues meddling with our minds and we learn that all we truly have is this present moment. The past is behind us, and although it’s vital to dream and wish and want, the future doesn’t exist. Enjoy!
