We celebrate the birthday of Jochen Mass, a German all-rounder remembered for both triumph and tragedy. We revisit the 2001 United States Grand Prix, where Mika Häkkinen took his final career victory at a race that carried symbolic weight just weeks after 9/11. We head to Jerez in 1990 as Alain Prost cut Ayrton Senna’s title lead in a dramatic Spanish Grand Prix overshadowed by Martin Donnelly’s horrific crash.
