Listen "07.09.25 Father's Day 2025. Ps. Geoff Broekman"
Episode Synopsis
Father’s Day 2025
The first words that a baby often speaks is daddy, daddy, daddy. In the Hebrew language in which almost all the Old Testament was written that word is ab or abba (Aramaic) spoken to this very day in the streets of Israel. It is interesting to note that Ab or Abba also appears first in the Hebrew dictionary and our concordances.
Jesus Himself used this baby talk term “daddy” in His deepest need and anguish in the garden of Gethsemane when He prayed: “Abba (daddy, papa) Father, all things are possible for You.” Through this position of apparent weakness, Jesus went on to accomplish for man his greatest victory.
