Episode Synopsis "Chapter 1: Autonomy during quarantine time"
“Learning with AL” is a podcast created by two English teachers and master’s students to talk and discuss current topics related to learning and teaching English. This is a virtual space in which English teachers help English teachers, students, and parents. During this online space, English teachers talk about the way the COVID-19 emergency has affected the educational world, especially in Colombia, the same as two elements that are relevant for the situation we are living around the world: autonomy and technology. Besides, the teacher and student’s role are described to analyze their perspective and possible tips to implement in online environments. Finally, some learning management systems and applications are presented and described to provide specific technological tools that can be explored to analyze their characteristics and uses according to the context. At the end, it is clear the objective of sharing ideas and experiences to grow as a community which at the end it is what really matters.
