About Rachel Doyle, GlamourGals Founder And CEO
Rachel Doyle is the Founder and CEO of GlamourGals Foundation. Combining her compassionand love of beauty, she created a unique program that fosters intergenerational connectionswhile developing empathetic leadership skills in teens. Over 25 years, Rachel has deftly steeredthe organization through challenges, including financial downturns and global pandemics, allwhile ensuring that in some years 95% of funding supports its core mission. She is transformingthe organization into a global movement to end elder isolation and loneliness. Withheadquarters in New York City, GlamourGals now mobilizes over 2,000 teen volunteers in 31states and 150 communities across the continent, having inspired more than 10,000compassionate leaders throughout North America since 2000.Rachel founded the GlamourGals Foundation in 2000 as a junior in high school in honor of hergrandmother who had recently passed away. Unable to regularly visit her grandmother wholived in a senior home across the country, she realized there were women in the senior homesin her local community who also were not receiving regular visits from their families.Rachel’s social entrepreneurship was recognized by the Sally Hansen and Glamour Magazine“Best of You” Award in 2015, the Richard C. Cornuelle Social Entrepreneurship InnovationAward (now Civil Society Award), Manhattan Institute for Policy Research in 2011, and theFirst-ever CosmoGIRL! of the year in 2001.GlamourGals has been widely covered by top national press outlets.
