Scripture: Ecclesiastes 7:15 - 29
Solomon says: "Consider the ways of God. Who can make straight what He makes crooked." God has made somethings crooked in this world. Solomon says that if we try to understand why God has made certain things crooked in this world, we really can't understand it and not just that; but when we try to straighten out what God has made crooked, we just can't do it. The effort goes in vain. And so Solomon also displays to us that we ought not to ever take comfort in our circumstances. Instead we need to take comfort in God who alone is faithful and good even if we don't understand all his ways and even if we are still in pain.
