For the second in our sustainability series we are tackling the big one: packaging!
How many plastic bottles of water does the average yacht get through in a summer season? One yacht provisioning for the start of their summer charter season took on 800 bottles…that's a lot of plastic packaging! We discuss the use of single use plastic on board and the possible solutions available when it comes to tackling this issue.
We are joined by Alex Guy and Elliott McMullan, both ex crew now working at Burgess, alongside Georgina Menheneott from the Burgess Blue Oceans programme.
