Listen "The Special Cover-Up to Subduing Evil - Simcha"
Episode Synopsis
The mitzvah of counting Jews through the Shekalim was examined in light of its historical risks, such as the plague in King David’s time, and its spiritual purpose in bringing atonement and unity. Alternative methods of assessment were considered to avoid triggering negative spiritual consequences. Drawing from Kabbalistic teachings, the concept of Tzachtzachot was explained as a process of yearning and thirst that opens a person to receive the infinite light, particularly through the symbolic function of the keter and the Chafetz-yearning ports. Counting, when done with proper intent, can serve as a spiritual catalyst for breakthroughs. The number 10 was highlighted as a return to zero, representing connection to the Infinite. Joy (simchah) was emphasized as essential in this process, likened to the power of the incense offering in the Temple, which brought divine light into the Holy of Holies. Performing mitzvot with joy allows one to transcend ego and separation, nullify evil influences, and draw down holiness into daily life.Help support Breslov Therapy: linktr.ee/breslovtherapyThis class is based on Likutey Moharan lesson 24.
