There’s lots of talk about how to deal with guilt. Psychologists, sociologists and therapists all try to give answers, but are still found wanting. In Psalm 51 we find David in the aftermath of a particularly destructive sin and consumed by his own guilt. Strangely though, we find David ending up in a place of liberated confidence with the chains of his guilt undone. But how does he get there? Let’s explore this famous Psalm and find out how the grip of guilt is undone.
