Listen "Celestine Silverman"
Episode Synopsis
My guest is Celestine Silverman. Cel’s first show was The Music Man in 1977. She met her husband, Bill Pettigrove at Summer Stage. She cherishes the friendships she made in her youth and loves returning for the reunions. I remember her for her infectious laugh and she’s still got it. I hope you enjoy our conversation, so, come along and have some fun. . .We all have stories to tell and they can be heard here.Welcome to Brave and Strong and True, a podcast created to engage Summer Stage alumni of all ages. I’m Bob Falkenstein.Celestine made the following corrections once her episode was published:1. "I was 17 years old when I started Summer Stage. If you do the math, you would figure it out."2. "Bill played across from Andrea Dietzler in No, No Nanette, not MaryAnn."3. "I said my first friend was Claudia Rickards, but it was really Linda Rickards."Copy of the note Cel received from her mother after the 40th Anniversary show:Dearest Celestine,Last night when I listened to the grand finale (One More Day), all that I could think of was (One More Time). One more time I was blessed to see my beautiful daughter display her God-given talents. One more time I was able to experience the joy in my heart that I’ve had each time I’ve sat in the audience and watched you perform. I just want to thank you for all of the pleasure that you have given me for so many years. I love you.
