In this episode, we’re digging into the question of whether you should start a co-hosted podcast with one or multiple people.
This comes off the back of making a co-hosted season of 20 episodes in one of my other podcast shows, Branding Banter. Along with some observations of how other podcasters produce a co-hosted show.
And of course, a heap of tips in this episode to keep in mind for your own co-hosted episodes:

Make a set time each week to record an episode or multiple episodes in a batch
Record your shows well in advance to avoid scheduling problems and not having an episode for each week
Don’t be afraid to have solo episodes of just yourselves talking
Short of recording in-person, having a video feed can help you when knowing when your co-host or a guest is going to speak so you don’t talk over one another.
Have an episode format where each of you knows when the other is going to be talking, especially for introducing talking points or guest questions.
Record in seasons to give yourself a break too.

Podcasting may be easily accessible to start a show, but if you’ve not noticed already, they can become fairly complex and/or labour intensive as you go along, especially if you’re co-hosting a show. So create a system for your show that makes showing up for each of you as frictionless as possible.
