In this episode we talk to Lama Nazer, who joins all the way from Jordan, Amman! Lama is a critical care clinical pharmacy specialist at the King Hussein Cancer Center in Jordan and is a thought leader in critical care pharmacy and big data applications with the Society of Critical Care Medicine.
In this episode, she tells us what brought her to the field of critical care medicine, and how noticing the volume of data flowing in and out of critical care systems sparked her interest in AI. She also describes what working with data in critical care entails and some interesting projects that she is working on - a particularly interesting one is about predicting adverse reactions to cancer chemotherapy and assessesing when risks of treatment may outweigh benefits.
