Listen "Brabners: Changes to the Use Classes Order, and what this means in practice for Local Authorities?"
Episode Synopsis
In our latest Local Authorities podcast, Alexandra Jones discusses the changes to the Use Classes Order and what this means in practice for Local Authorities.
The Use Classes Order for England has been drastically rewritten, with the introduction of a new class E – “commercial, business and service use” – new classes F1 and F2 and the recategorisation of a range of uses to Sui Generis (without a specific use class). We will explore the practical implications of these changes for Local Authorities, and the challenges this might pose, now they have begun to bed in.
