Whether it be in life or with bourbon, getting old is all relative. And depending on who you ask, we BourbonBoys are older and dare we say, better. So we took the challenge to see if Old is Better. We're sampling three bourbons all starting with "old" in their brand name - Old Forester 1870 Original Batch, Old Elk, Old Nick Williams. In this episode, we learn about cutting and heat, some top female blenders, what contributions rye makes versus wheat. These Old brands harking back to the 1800’s -- the first ever batch processing, to a 200 year-old recipe resurrected right here in NC. The exploration takes us across rye and wheat based bourbons with some very opinionated viewpoints on tastes and whether we’d put it on the shelf.  Embracing old is our motto - facing it straight on like bourbon served neat. For last call, we talk about what we’d ask our grandpa’s if given the opportunity again. What would you ask him if you could today?
