Susan Fumagalli is bilateral above knee amputee with the OPRA Implant System by Integrum, a form of osseointegration, in both limbs.
She has spent over 30 years working in higher education in the role of both communications and administration and continues today.
Her career was fitting considering her love of sports and her very active life-style as a collegiate swimmer and an avid runner. She injured her foot in 2015 while training for her fifth half marathon, leading to an unthinkable medical journey over the next eight years. Her journey has been an arduous one, and the script continues to be written today, one step at a time.
