This was my reality a few weeks back, when my husband was out of town, and I had to grapple with unexpected hiccups. Amidst the whirlwind, I found solace in an unexpected moment with my seven-year-old son, which turned into a beautiful lesson about acknowledging our emotions and showing kindness to ourselves. During these trying times, it's easy to feel like we're not allowed to be overwhelmed. But what if we flipped that narrative?
