Listen "Applying for jobs? Here's what I wish I knew earlier (especially as an international student) // Fordham University x Zip Nguyen"
Episode Synopsis
[Link to watch on YouTube: https://youtu.be/K3zQz2KEx84]The process of getting a job can be stressful for anyone, but it’s particularly challenging for international students in the US. I wasn’t an exception—in fact, majoring in Marketing was probably one of the riskiest decisions for me or anyone who wanted to find sponsorship from prospective employers. It was an incredibly lonely period for me, filled with self-doubt after countless rejections. There was no guarantee that there’d be a light at the end of the tunnel, and I struggled to find advice that truly resonated with my challenges. In this episode, I want to share with you a snippet of my conversation with students from Fordham Gabelli School of Business about the best practices when applying and interviewing for jobs. If you can relate to my story or feel lost in your job search journey, here's the real talk I wish I had when I was in school.I hope you’ll find it helpful. Good luck! 🍀Special thanks to Dean Kate Kennon, Professor Linda Luca, Susan McGowan, and all the students who attended and engaged in the session at @fordhamgsb.Link to my LinkedIn post that was mentioned in the conversation: https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7028003874871341056/
